Ayurvedic Medicine For Acidity And Gas


According to Ayurveda, the acidity is recognized as Amlapitta. Heartburn is a condition in the body when there is an excess of acid secretion in the stomach. In Ayurvedic terminology, agni (digestive fire) is regarded as the protector of the human body, while ama (toxic) is the cause of the disease. The main cause is the folly in making food that gives rise to three types of dosha (physical energy): imbalance vata, pitta and kapha, the details of which are given in Ayurveda Doshas and body types. Ayurveda has provided abundant herbal remedies and home for the treatment of various diseases, including heartburn, heartburn and gastritis.

Heartburn Treatment Using Ayurveda

There are many ayurvedic preparations like herbal tablet qwath Indukantam, ghrit indukantam, hinguvachadi tab, Churna dadimashtaka, aptizoom syrup, tablet Chitrakadi, dasmoola haritaki Leha, kalyana gulam etc, which of course must be taken under the guidance of professional Ayurvedic practitioners. In addition to medications, the guidelines suggest the following:

1.Oils and fats rich in acid containing foods to be avoided.
2.The consumption of tea, coffee should be avoided.
3.No smoking.
4.Avoid drinking water immediately after eating.
5.Fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and vegetables should be taken in abundance. These are good sources of fiber and aids digestion.
6.Seeds of coriander (500 mg) and croomy Anise (saunf) taken twice daily.
7.Another remedy is to take lemon water with the same amount of sugar and salt to make every day.
8.Luke warm, also known as Jal Koshna to drink after 1/2 hour.
9.Diet to be reduced to 3/4 th of the regular diet.
10.Exercises after a meal.
11.To keep yourself balanced. Psychological reasons such as sadness, anger, anxiety and depression also leads to the appearance of acidity.

Ayurvedic Treatment for Acidity And Gas

Vata type of Acidity: asafetida and cloves can be given. Preparations as Pachakshara choorna, Narayana choorna recommended.

Pitta type of Acidity: Indian gooseberry or Amalaki is initially to reduce stomach acidity. Then Shatavari tablet is prescribed. The medication must be taken for two weeks.

Kapha type of acidity: Ayurvedic treatment for such fasting acidity begins to correct the digestive fire. Herbs are given for the purpose of solving the digestive problems. For treatment with Jeerakadyarishta Shankha vati it prescribed by physicians for 3 weeks.
